In Morocco, the number of Internet users is 22.56 million persons for a total population of 37.95 million, which is a penetration rate of 63%. The mobile Internet usage rate in Morocco is 56%, yielding about 20.3 million mobile Internet users.
The number of Internet users (all platforms combined) is up sharply in one year (since January 2017). + 12% in Morocco (more than 2 million over one year).
Mobile social media users (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube …) represent 48% of the total population. The number of active users of social networks is estimated at 15 million in Morocco (42%) The latest data from GlobalWebIndex shows us that the average Internet user now spends about 6 hours a day using devices and services connected to the internet, which is about a third of his time outside his hours of sleep.
